  9. These  fab  girls  have  taken  the world by storm and so far have had 4
  10. number  one singles,plus a number one album in the UK.  But why are they
  11. so  great?  Surely they`re just a bigger version of the middle 80`s band
  12. "The   Bangles"   or  even  the  highly  popular  and  equally  as  sexy
  13. "Bananarama".   Sure  the  most  obvious  reason  as  to  why they`re so
  14. successfull  is  the fact that they are a group of very attractive girls
  15. who  can  produce  an  original and up beat song.  The fact that they`re
  16. sexy to the men,set a message for the girls and give all boy bands a run
  17. for  their money also contributes to their winning formual,but i believe
  18. the  Spice  Girls  have  in fact become so successfull because they have
  19. brought  back  an  element  of music that has been somehow lost over the
  20. 90`s years...disco!

  22. Just  listen to the various beats and instruments (especially in "Who Do
  23. You  Think  You  Are")  included  in  their  songs and they all resemble
  24. patterns  found  in  the  late  60`s,70`s and early 80`s.  The fact that
  25. music  lovers have finally got a respectable band with good looks,a mass
  26. following,talent  and  that they re-inforce old trends which were highly
  27. popular make the Spice Girls a band to remember.

  30. [The reason they are so popular is because they are a recipe.  They were
  31. put  together  by  a music company who held auditions in order to obtain
  32. the  correct  formula.   Then  the songs were written for them and their
  33. characters  were  generated  (by the press in many respects).  There's a
  34. lot  of  talk  about  this form of music group creating at present.  One
  35. interesting aspect is doing away with humans altogether and working with
  36. virtual  singers  where all aspects are computer created.  This is being
  37. done  in Japan as I type and music companies are paying close attention.
